Daiwa hires Philip Brewer for Fixed Income E-Trading business

Daiwa Capital Markets, the international investment banking arm of Japan’s Daiwa Securities Group, has hired Philip Brewer as London-based Executive Director in its Fixed Income Division. He will be responsible for co-ordinating the firm’s e-commerce operations for Fixed Income products across e-trading platforms.

Brewer joins from MarketAxess, the e-trading platform, where he was Head of European Relations and a Member of the European Management Team. He joined MarketAxess in 2004 after a 20 year career in credit trading. Brewer has worked in senior positions for West LB, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan. He started his career at Merrill Lynch.

In his new position Brewer reports to Phil Deans, Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Sales for Daiwa Capital Markets Europe.
